Session Structure - What to Expect

Initial Session:

During our first session, I preform a biopsychosocial assessment by reviewing the intake paperwork (see "Paperwork") that you and/or whomever is attending session have filled out prior to and brought with you to session in an attempt to get to know you (all) and your needs. This session may last anywhere between 45-60 minutes.

If you are unable to download and fill out the paperwork (see "Paperwork") from the website , please let me know so that other arrangements can be made (i.e. if your appointment is during regular business hours I can leave the paperwork with the receptionist and you will need to arrive at least 30 minutes early to complete it).

Additional Sessions:

Sessions after the intial session are 45-50 minutes in length unless otherwise pre-arranged.  Insurance companies and/or EAP companies will only pay for one session (45 minutes) a day unless otherwise medically necessary and pre-authorized as such.  Clients that pay privately can arrange to be seen for longer sessions (i.e. 2 hours if they feel it would be beneficial as is with some couples and family counseling sessions.)
